Police have revealed that they arrested two teenagers suspected of being involved in looting during riots in central Athens on Sunday, February 12.

Officers said that the suspects are a 19-year-old Greek man and a 17-year-old Ukrainian woman. The pair were arrested a camera and photographic equipment that were stolen on February 12, when dozens of shops were looted.

Police searched the 17-year-old’s apartment in the Exarchia neighbourhood, where they found another four stolen cameras and more equipment worth an estimated 20,000 euros in total.

The owner of the shop estimates that a 120,000 euros worth of goods were stolen from his store.
