A violent brawl that broke out between a group of Greeks and migrants on the southern Aegean island of Rhodes in the early hours of Saturday morning resulted in at least three serious injuries, police said. Two Afghans were taken to a local hospital with stab wounds to the stomach and back while two local men sustained facial injuries, probably inflicted by a large knife. Another four islanders believed to have been involved in the brawl, which took place near the village of Paradisi, on the island’s west coast, were in police detention while officers were seeking one more who remained at large.
