The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) has complained to the Development Ministry that it is not being given its fair share of air-time in the televised media, a statement made by party spokesman Panayiotis Mentrekas said.

According to the statement, «during the main news bulletin, television stations will show the positions and activities of two or three parties (usually New Democracy, SYRIZA and PASOK), and only toward the end of the bulletin will they show what KKE and other parties are doing, for just a few seconds."

The statement goes on to say that the amount of coverage in most media given to KKE is disproportionate to the May 6 electoral results, where KKE came in fifth with 8.36 percent of the vote.
