Ex-minister said to have pocketed at least 2 bln euros

Former Defense Minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos, who is in pre-trial custody for money laundering, pocketed at least 2 billion euros in kickbacks for defense deals he signed while in office, the legal brief on his case suggests.

Prosecutors probing the case are said to have found evidence linking Tsochatzopoulos to dozens more suspiciously acquired properties in Greece and abroad, and to additional offshore firms
