Members of the ADEDY civil servants’ union are due to walk off the job at 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday to protest austerity measures, particularly the hefty cut to their lump-sum pension payment.

Protesters are due to gather outside the Labor Ministry around 1 p.m.

In a statement, ADEDY called for the government to abandon the terms of its bailout agreement with the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.
