A former high-ranking narcotics officer on Friday became the 21st policeman to be remanded in custody on charges that he was part of a large drug-trafficking ring active in northern Greece.
The ex-chief of the Agrinio drugs division is suspected of acting in collusion with another 20 officers, including the head of the Volos narcotics squad, and two Albanian civilians who are all in custody pending trial.
