Immigration to Europe is the subject of a debate on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Onassis Cultural Center.
The event, titled “Should Europe Shut the Door on Immigration?”, is organized by Intelligence Squared Greece.
Speaking for the motion are Douglas Murray, author and associate director of the Henry Jackson Society, and Makis Voridis, a conservative deputy who is former minister for infrastructure, transportation and networks.
Speaking against the motion are Bernard Kouchner, former foreign minister of France and co-founder of Medecins Sans Frontieres and Medecins du Monde, and Antigone Lyberaki, professor of economics at Panteion University and Action Aid Greece board member.
Coordinating the debate is Nik Gowing, a journalist with BBC World News.
