The March contract on the FTSE 20 index was trading at -0.20 pct in the Athens Derivatives Exchange on Wednesday, with turnover rising to 72.460 million euros. Volume on the Big Cap index totaled 14,421 contracts worth 56.365 million euors, with 14,421 short positions in the market.

Volume in futures contracts on equities totaled 40,423 contracts worth 16.095 million euros, with investment interest focusing on Piraeus Bank’s contracts (11,176), followed by Eurobank (2,179), OTE (1,661), National Bank (8,985), Alpha Bank (3,266), Mytilineos (1,021), Hellenic Postbank (1,231) and ATEbank (670).
