Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who is also the head of the Eurogroup, told the Finance Ministry in Athens in clear terms that the very success of the Greek streamlining program depends on beating tax evasion.

In a series of contacts that the general secretary for public revenues, Haris Theoharis, had with the Dutch Finance Ministry in order to exchange information on the course of changes in this new secretariat and on the tax collection mechanism, Dijsselbloem said that unless tax evasion is contained, the program will fail and cause huge problems across the eurozone.
