In a bid to boost passenger numbers, the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) is mulling a new campaign offering commuters discounts at a wide range of retail stores on display of their used tickets.

In a bid to boost passenger numbers, the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) is mulling a new campaign offering commuters discounts at a wide range of retail stores on display of their used tickets.
It will be up to the businesses themselves to decide on the type of special offers and discount coupons to be made available to consumers.
Stores that choose to take part in the scheme will in exchange be advertised on the various modes of public transport.
OASA officials said they hoped the campaign would be launched in July, however no official step had been made by Friday.
