Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos met on Monday with his counterpart from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Nikola Poposki, on the sidelines of a meeting of the European Union’s Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.

This is the first time the two have met following Venizelos’s appointment to the post last month.

They discussed their positions on various issues, including the ongoing name dispute between the two countries, the Foreign Ministry in Athens said in a statement.
