The government published on Thursday the names of 2,122 teachers that are to be included in the mobility scheme.

Greece has to transfer 25,000 civil servants from their current positions by the end of the year as part of its bailout commitments.

The head of Federation of Secondary Schoolteachers (OLME), Themis Kotsifakis, was among the teachers included in the Education Ministry’s list.

He labelled the ministry’s move a “crime” and made reference to a teacher in Larissa, central Greece, who died of a heart attack earlier this week after learning she would be transferred.
