A 29-year-old Bulgarian woman was detained on Wednesday after allegedly shooting her 51-year-old estranged husband, a Greek, with a hunting rifle following an argument at the home of a 68-year-old man believed to be the woman’s new partner, who was also arrested.

According to police, the 51-year-old turned up at the residence in Kambos, near Orestiada in northern Greece, in the early hours of the morning and started arguing with his estranged wife.

The dispute culminated in the 29-year-old shooting the victim in the stomach, causing fatal injuries.

The woman has been charged with murder and the 68-year-old as an accessory.
