The results of the Greek University entrance exams were released by the Ministry of Education on Thursday. According to the ministry 104,988 students took the tests this year, compared to 116,173 in 2012.

The minimum pass rates that secondary school students sitting university entrance exams needed to join specific faculties were lower in a number of faculties this year, including high-in-demand departments such as medical and law schools.

Higher rates were observed in military and tourism studies schools.
