Seismologists on Monday assured that there was no cause for concern after four tremors were recorded in Thessaloniki in northern Greece and off the coast of Crete in the southern Aegean over the past two days.

On Monday, a small quake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale struck 30 kilometers north-northwest of the northern port city of Thessaloniki at 5.17 a.m., at the same point which delivered another minor tremor of 3.5 Richter on Sunday at 1.33 p.m.

Off the coast of Crete, a 3-Richter quake on Monday morning came after a moderate 5-Richter temblor on Sunday. The epicenter of both was off the southern coast of the island’s Tymbaki coastal village.

Seismologists have said that they are monitoring the activity.
