Services were disrupted on the Piraeus-Kifissia electric railway (ISAP) on Wednesday after several trees fell on various rail tracks following heavy rainfall earlier in the day.

Trains were running from Piraeus to Nea Ionia and from Irini to Kifissia stations.

Meanwhile, the Syntagma Square metro station in central Athens was closed on Wednesday as rallies continued in the city center due to a 24-hour general strike called by the country’s main unions.
