Nikos Romanos, a self-professed anarchist who is in pretrial custody in connection with a string of attacks attributed to the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire guerrilla group, has refused to testify before magistrates who are said have found DNA evidence further implicating the 21-year-old in the group’s activities.

In a letter posted on the Internet, Romanos said his “stance opposite the magistrates was, is and will remain the same.”

“I refuse to start a dialogue with the judicial mafia, to explain myself to my executioners,” he said.

Romanos admitted to certain attacks, including a blast outside the home of former minister Yiannos Papantoniou in December 2012, but not to being a member of the guerrilla group.
