The airport was evacuated for about one hour as bombs disposal experts scoured the area for explosives, Cyprus Mail said, adding that the all-clear was given about an hour later.
Authorities are on high alert as US Vice President Joe Biden is expected to begin a three-day visit to the divided island on Wednesday.
