The yield spread between the 10-year Greek and German benchmark bonds widened again to 930 basis points in the Greek electronic secondary bond market on Wednesday, from 926 bps on Tuesday, with the Greek bond yielding 12.72 pct and the German Bund 3.42 pct. Turnover in the market was an improved 49 million euros, of which 42 million euros were sell orders and the remaining 7.0 million were buy orders. The six-month Treasury bill was the most heavily traded security with a turnover of 9.0 million euros.
In interbank markets, interest rates were largely unchanged. The 12-month rate was 2.02 pct, the six-month rate 1.57 pct, the three-month 1.26 pct and the one-month rate 1.01 pct.
