A 68-year-old hiker was safely pulled out of a 200-meter ravine during a major rescue operation on Sunday on Mount Tsamanta, near the Greek-Albanian border.

Firefighters and EMAK rescue crews were called in from the towns of Igoumenitsa and Filiata in northwestern Greece on Sunday by two men the 68-year-old had been hiking with when he lost his footing and tumbled down a 200-meter ravine near the remote village of Lias.
The 68-year-old has been taken to hospital and is receiving treatment for multiple injuries, none of which have been deemed life-threatening.
