The dean’s office at the prestigious Athens Law School on Tuesday expressed “extreme displeasure” at the fact that the faculty was used last Friday to host the presentation of a controversial book by the convicted hit man of the defunct November 17 terrorist organization, Dimitris Koufodinas.
Koufodinas is said to have addressed attendees by video link from Attica’s Korydallos Prison where he is serving several life terms, after which a party was held. The dean’s office said organizers did not get its approval to host the event, which it described as “questionable as regards both procedure and academic code of conduct,” but only the approval of Athens University’s faculty of economic and political sciences, which is based in the same building.
