The circumstances of the crash, which occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning in rugged terrain in Komotini near Greece’s northeastern border, were not made public, but eye-witness accounts that the pilot had managed to eject himself from the cockpit before his plane went down were confirmed by military sources, according to local media.
The pilot has been transferred to a nearby general hospital after suffering minor injuries.
There were no reports of other injuries as a result of the crash, which was near a residential area and was captured by a resident.
