Traffic restrictions, or "daktylios" in Greek, go back in force in downtown Athens on Monday, following the summer break.

Cars with license plates ending in an odd number are allowed into the city center on odd dates, and on even dates only those with even-numbered plates are allowed in.

The restrictions are in place from from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.
