Defendants handed prison terms over Antipnoia stabbings

Two men believed to be members of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party were sent to prison on Monday after an Athens court convicted them over the stabbing of a Greek and a Spanish national at the Antipnoia venue in Kato Petralona, central, Athens, in June 2008.

The two men were handed terms of 13 years and five months and 11 years and five months, respectively. Both defendants had initially faced misdemeanor charges, before later being indicted for attempted manslaughter.

The two men appealed the court decision.
