Woman killed in tram accident in Floisvo, south of Athens

A 75-year-old woman was killed by an oncoming tram in the Athens coastal area of Floisvo early on Friday morning.

Fire service workers were dispatched to the scene of the accident, the exact circumstances of which remained unclear, to raise the front section of the tram so that the remains of the woman’s body can be retrieved.

Tram services along the coastline were temporarily suspended.
