Greek government officials will meet with troika representatives in Paris on Tuesday, it was announced on Monday.

The surprise meeting was arranged late on Sunday in a bid to find common ground that would help conclude the current troika review of the Greek program before the December 8 Eurogroup.

The Finance Ministry suggested in a statement that Greek officials would also meet with the heads of the troika mission to discuss further details about how Greece could exit its bailout.

With just two weeks left before the meeting of eurozone finance ministers by which the review must be concluded and efforts to prepare a precautionary credit line must begin, Greece and its lenders are still apart on a number of issues.

One of the key differences between the two sides is the 2015 fiscal gap, which the troika estimates at 2 to 3 billion euros. Athens believes there will be no fiscal shortfall next year.

Greek officials met with troika representatives in Paris at the beginning of September, before the current review began.
