The felony charges relate to the so-called Lagarde list of Greek depositors at the Geneva branch of HSBC. The decision was reached by 4 votes to 1.
Meanwhile, the former minister was acquitted of breach of duty, a misdemeanor. Three members of his family, whose names appeared on the Lagarde list, were acquitted on Thursday.
A date for the trial has not been set.
