Prime Minister George Papandreou held a telephone conversation with his Libyan counterpart Al Baghdadi Ali Al Mahmoudi on Saturday, at the Libyan premier's initiative. The two men discussed the latest developments in Libya and the Greek prime minister stressed the need for the UN's resolutions to be implemented.

Papandreou discussed the same issue in a telephone conversation with the Russian president a day earlier. President Medvedev has a positive stance regarding Greece's initiatives for the finding of a political solution in Libya.
