Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has given the all-clear for 587 of 1,057 administrative staff transferred out of their jobs last year to return but it is believed that Loverdos is holding out for all of the employees to be given their jobs back.
“The universities need these administrative employees,” Athens University Rector Theodoros Fortsakis told Kathimerini. “Of course we would like all of those placed in the labor reserve to be returned but I disagree with Mr Loverdos over the manner in which he is pushing for this.”
