Police arrest accomplices of November 17 terrorist

Greek police said they have arrested two accomplices of Christodoulos Xeros, the November 17 terrorist who was arrested on January 3 after 12 months on the run from authorities.

Authorities said the two – a 54-year-old Greek and a 37-year-old Albanian – were arrested during a police operation in Kalamata, in the Peloponnese, Tuesday evening on a warrant from the prosecutor's office on charges of belonging to a terrorist organization.

The two suspects have been transferred to the police headquarters in Athens, police said.

Xeros is already serving multiple life terms for his role in the country's most lethal guerrilla group, which killed Greek, US and British diplomats before being dismantled in 2002.
