Greece's industrial import price index rose 8.0 pct in April, compared with the same month last year, after rising by 10.1 pct in the same period in 2010, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Tuesday.
The statistics service, in a report, attributed the increase in the so-called “imported inflation” to a 2.0 pct rise in the import price index from Eurozone countries and to a 13.5 pct rise in the import price index from other countries.
The import price index rose 0.8 pct in April from March 2011, after an increase of 1.5 pct recorded in the same period last year.
