Deputy Tourism Minister Giorgos Nikitiadis said that the Culture and Tourism Ministry is open to dialogue in order to find solutions to the cruise sector's problems, during his address to the two-day Posidonia Tourism Forum in Athens that winds up on Wednesday.
Nikitiadis stressed that the ministry is currently discussing with the sides involved in the cruise sector branch, adding that changes will be made where feasible with the aim of boosting cruises and marine tourism, and called for their cooperation.
He also reiterated that Greece is a destination that should not be missing from the major cruise companies' itineraries. On the cruiseship docking fees at the Piraeus port, the deputy minister said that despite whatever increases the port the cheapest in the Mediterranean.
