The executing law accompanying the Mid-term Fiscal Strategy Framework will be ratified in Parliament by June 30, following the final agreement on the measures with the troika (the EC, ECB and IMF) on Thursday.
This was pointed out by the Finance ministry, while government vice president and Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos briefed the inner cabinet and the cabinet meeting on Wednesday on the question of negotiations with the troika on the finalisation of the lists of the Mid-term Framework and, consequently, of the content of the executing law, as well as the updating of the memorandum that precedes the payment of each tranche. The Finance minister also received authorisation to proceed with all the necessary moves.
Venizelos will be meeting on Thursday with the heads of the troika, who have already arrived in Athens, while he had a telephone conversation with commissioner Olli Rehn on the issue.
The Mid-term Framework will be discussed at the Parliamentary plenum on Monday and Tuesday, while the discussion of the executing law will begin at the Permanent Committee on Tuesday.
