SYRIZA’s Tsipras: 'Selling off
of public assets a crime'

Opposition Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) parliamentary group president Alexis Tsipras on Friday underlined that “the selling off of public assets and goods is the biggest crime in recent history”.
In comments he made after meeting with Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company (EYDAP S.A.) employees, Tsipras stressed that certain social goods, like water, should not be privatized for the purpose of profit, adding that the privatization of the water supply sector has failed in other countries causing huge social problems.
