Government Vice-President and Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos on Monday night called on the opposition to join the government's efforts in order to "collectively negotiate the tax, the restructuring and the growth protocol, that is the memorandum, which our partners will give us, because there is money for Greece."
Addressing a parliamentary plenum during the debate on the Medium-term Fiscal Strategy Programme, Venizelos said "we want accelaration, simplification common sense. And then we will be able to capitalise, with transparency, on the public's assets. Because if we will be able to buy out (part of the) debt, this will ease pressure on the economy."
