Applications for state subsidisation of home improvements for energy efficiency under the "Conservation at Home" programme reached 34,560 as at June 8, according to data conveyed to parliament on Friday by environment, energy and climate change minister George Papaconstantinou.
Of those applications, 15,863 have received preliminary approval while the applications that are accompanied by the required documentation number 8,743.

The figures on the programme were submitted to parliament following a question tabled by main opposition New Democracy (ND) MP and former minister Costis Hadzidakis.

-- Motor Oil on Friday announced the signing of an agreement to issue a bond loan worth 50 million euros.
The company said the proceeds from the bond loan will be used to restructure part of Motor Oil’s existing short-term debt to banks and its transformation into long-term.

-- Greece’s Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), compiled by Markit, rose to 45.5 points in June from 44.5 points in May, a sign of slightly improved conditions in the manufacturing sector in the country.

-- Voyatzoglou Systems on Friday announced a general shareholders’ meeting decision to proceed with a share capital increase plan, worth 1,391,500 euros through raising the nominal value of existing shares from 0.60 euros to 0.82 euros and a simultaneous reduction of the equity capital by the same amount.
