Opposition Communist Party of Greece (KKE) secretary Aleka Papariga on Friday referred to tertiary education draft law provisions after meeting with representatives of university rectors.
KKE has already expressed complete opposition to the draft law and referring to the suggested short duration programmes of studies, she stressed that “universities will issue degrees of various types,” essentially “leading to the downgrading of higher education institutions.”
Papariga stressed that authoritarianism is reinforced for the sake of combating corruption, while democratic processes and freedoms are being dramatically restricted.
