The Democratic Alliance party on Friday accused the two mainstream parties, ruling PASOK and main opposition New Democracy (ND) of an attempt to cover up the Siemens scandal.
The party said that PASOK and ND have opted for the "rationale of counterbalancing", resulting in a cover-up of the case "so that the Greek society will never learn who took the money, where the kickbacks went, and the route of the 'black political money' to individuals and parties from the planned contracts and procurements of Hellenic Telecoms (OTE) and other public agencies.

Democratic Alliance further said that the proposed referral "they are setting up at this time" was ungrounded and provocative.

"If they (PASOK and ND) thing that with this methodisation they will fool the people who are protesting against lawlessness, they are mistaken", a Democratic Alliance announcement said.
