Thessaloniki’s Alexander Innovation Zone S.A. (AIZ S.A.) CEO Dr. Iordanis Arzimanoglou, a noted biotechnology and genetics researcher and administrator, has tendered his resignation to the relevant regional development and competitiveness minister, it was announced on Thursday.

Justifying his decision to resign three and a half years after taking over the post, Arzimanoglou underlined that “after two governments, six supervising ministers and a score of general and special secretaries” he came to the conclusion that “the zone was not a priority for any (Greek) government or political parties”.
