The Athens Transport Organization (OASA) announced on Friday that there will be public transport disruptions this weekend as bus, trolley, tram, train and metro drivers join other Greeks heading to their constituencies to vote in Sunday’s general election. Most modes of public transport will see the frequency of services reduced through Monday, though the operating hours of metro lines 2 and 3 will be extended on Saturday night by one hour, with the final departures from Syntagma taking place at 1.20 a.m.

Only the Piraeus-Kifissia electric railway (ISAP) is expected to operate more or less as normal.

On Monday, services will be reduced on all routes except for those that serve airports, ports and intercity bus depots.
