The final stretch in the trial of former Defense Minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos, indicted on charges of laundering money received in kickbacks for military procurements, has been postponed from Tuesday to Thursday, according to reports.

Tuesday’s session in court was supposed to see defendants making their final statements, before closing arguments are presented by the defense and prosecution.

The former PASOK strongman stands accused alongside another 16 defendants, including his wife Viki Stamati and his daughter Areti Tsochatzopoulou.

He has denied all charges, claiming that former PASOK chief and ex-Prime Minister George Papandreou is responsible for his incrimination.
