Greece and Israel have agreed to cooperate in their efforts to fight organized crime, terrorism and natural disasters, among others, following an agreement signed by Greek Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias (photo) and Israeli Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich.

The agreement was signed within the framework of a two-day official visit by Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and a group of cabinet ministers to Israel.

The bilateral accord relates to battling organized crime, human trafficking, illegal immigration, cyber crime, terrorism and the illegal trade of artworks, among others.

Another area of collaboration between the two countries will be fire protection and crisis management in cases of natural disasters.
