Convicted November 17 terrorist Savvas Xeros returned to the high-security Korydallos Prison in southeastern Athens on Saturday after being discharged from Larissa University Hospital in central Greece.

Xeros was admitted to the Larissa facility last week after a prosecutor approved his petition to undergo a series of medical tests. According to hospital reports, Xeros, who is reportedly suffering from multiple sclerosis, was found to be in a good and stable medical condition.

The brother of Christodoulos Xeros, who absconded while on a prison furlough last week, is serving five consecutive life sentences plus an additional 25 years for participating in five assassinations and robberies, among other crimes.

A third brother, Vassilis Xeros, also convicted for being a member of the November 17 terrorist group, was released from prison in 2011 after serving two-fifths of his 25-year sentence.
