Democratic Left (DIMAR) leader Fotis Kouvelis has rejected any possibility of his party returning to the current coalition.

Democratic Left (DIMAR) leader Fotis Kouvelis has rejected any possibility of his party returning to the current coalition.

DIMAR was part of the joint administration with New Democracy and PASOK between June 2012 and June 2013 but Kouvelis told Skai TV on Monday that his party would not cooperate with the conservatives and socialists again unless there was a change of leadership.

“I will not enter a coalition with [Prime Minister Antonis] Samaras and [Deputy Prime Minister Evangelos] Venizelos,” he said in the wake of ex-cabinet secretary Panayiotis Baltakos being forced to resign over his secret conversations with Golden Dawn MPs.

DIMAR had repeatedly complained about the hardline views of Baltakos and other prime ministerial advisers. Kouvelis said on Monday that he felt there would be further fallout from the Baltakos revelations.
