The yield spread between the 10-year Greek and German benchmark bonds shrank further to 14.30 pct in the domestic electronic secondary bond market on Wednesday, from 14.9 pct on Tuesday, with the Greek bond yielding 17.04 pct and the German Bund 2.74 pct. Turnover in the market was a low 7.0 million euros, of which 6.0 million were buy orders and the remaining 1.0 million euros were sell orders. The five-year benchmark bond was the most heavily traded security with a turnover of 3.0 million euros.
In interbank markets, interest rates moved lower. The 12-month rate was 2.17 pct, the six-month rate 1.81 pct, the three-month 1.60 pct and the one-month rate 1.45 pct.
