An out-of-control speedboat on Friday crashed into other vessels docked at Platis Gialos Bay, on the small island of Sifnos in the central Aegean causing only material damage. Its 69-year-old captain was recovered unconscious and was rushed to the island’s clinic where he was declared dead. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact causes of his death.
Apparently, the man lost consciousness because of health problems and subsequently lost control of his boat, the local Coastguard said.
