The 'Indignant Citizens' movement that staged a roughly two-month-long protest in Syntagma Square opposite the Greek Parliament has issued an announcement saying that the protestors are planning to return to the square at midnight on Saturday. The announcement said the movement hopes to send a message of defiance "against state terrorism" by meeting in the square, after which there will be a march passing through the streets of Monastiraki and Psyrri and ending at Gazi.

The protestors had sent up a permanent tent city in the square, where they were camped almost since the start of the protests in May but these were recently forcibly removed by the Athens municipality that carried out a refurbishment of the square.
