Greece's current accounts deficit dropped by 6 percent (844 million euros) in the first half of the year , according to the Bank of Greece on Thursday.
The deficit stood at 13.2 billion euros while the trade deficit was whittled down to 2.2 billion in the same period, the BoG announced.
Specifically, exports increased by 16.2 percent to total 6.1 billion (excluding shipping and fuels), while imports dropped by 7.3 percent to total 13.1 billion euros (excluding shipping and fuels).
