Bank of Greece (BoG) Gov. George Provopoulos met on Thursday with government vice president and Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos, as well as with members of the government's economic staff. The discussion concerned the course of the economy, as well as latest developments on the new aid package to Greece and the participation of private individuals.
Provopoulos also briefed Venizelos on banking developments and the liquidity of Greek banks.
The finance minister will have continuous contacts with the members of the economic staff in the coming days as well and will be briefed in detail in light of the troika's arrival in Athens.
