Three Britons have been arrested in the region of Hersonissos, on the island of Crete, accused of robbery. The three, aged 50, 26 and 24 respectively entered a car rentals shop with the 50-year-old claiming that the car he had rented had broken down and for this reason he wanted his money back.
The two others, urged by him, began to remove various items from the shop while he prevented the owner from reacting and calling for help. The presence of passers-by, however, who noticed that something was wrong made the three panic and leave the scene after stealing 140 euros.
The perpetrators were then detected and arrested by Hersonissos police.
